The most important invention
There are a lot of convenient things such as cars, airplanes, ships, refrigerators, TV, phone, air conditioners, computers, washing machines in present-day life. We consider them ordinary because they are near to ourselves. These inventions are very convenient and important but probably ships are the most important invention of all. First, we can transport large quantities of loads. Each different country trades. Trade is necessary because Japan particularly needs to import food because food self-sufficient rate in Japan is row. Without trade with foreign countries, Japan can not supply a people. Ships are useful to transport big and heavy things such as cars too. If we use airplanes, we can transport quickly but we can’t use them to transport lots of big and heavy things, so ships are the best way to trade. Second, long-distance transport is possible. When there were no ships, people walked and rode hoses to move from place to place and they could not cross over the sea. That’s why people only knew their different land, a part of earth. It takes a long time to sail but ships can stop countries and islands easier than airplanes. Third, human history was produced by development ships. This is the most important point. Judging by the history, human beings have used ships since long time ago. On and after being invented first ships, human beings use them in various cases. For trade, war, voyage, emigration and so on. Without ships, human society could not development. These are the reasons why ships are the most important invention.

Farewell party
Today, I went to the international dorm for the farewell party. Mira, Pudding, Yuna, Hyeling, Juhhie, Hyosong, Vivi, Huen, Pathron (probably I wrote some wrong spell) and some more international students will go back to their countries next month. Some people will leave in March.
I had somethings to do in this morning, so I couldn't go there in time. I wanted to see the slide show. There were a lot of wonderful dishes that the international students cooked.
Pudding gave me a lovely necklace. I put it on right way. How sweet she is. Megumu, Eri and Ayano also got the same necklace from her.
We took a lot of pictures with them. I will definitely miss them.

The average highs of January and February are under 0 degrees centigrade. As many clothes as possible should be worn when going outside in winter. Gloves and earmaffs are necessary. A small bird which lived in the forest was flying around the castle by chance. She saw a girl lying at the court of castle. There were two ladies too.
"What happened here?" she stealthily flew and approached to them.
"Nobody can interrupt us. I had put a poison into the glass that I gave to Narisa. She will die!" "Wow! Mom, I can get marry to prince Justin! Thank you!" "Yes, honey. You will be a princess of this country. But we have to wait a few hours. Narisa is still alive. If someone who loves her kissed her, she would woke up. We have to hide her somewhere."

The dreams that I have ever seen
What is your best dream that you have ever seen? I would like to tell you about dreams that I have ever seen.
At first, I will tell my best 3 dreams to you. The third one is the dream I became a member of Straw-hat pirates. I like One Piece, a very famous Japanese comic, and I always feel like being a member of the pirates when reading it. One day I read it before sleeping. Then, I dreamed that I became a pirate. I met a lot of characters of One Piece in the dream, so I was happy! The second best one is the dream that I could use magic. I could get whatever I wanted, go wherever I wanted to, and I could be whoever I wanted to. The most interesting experience was that I became a boy. I saw me who was a cool boy wearing male clothes by the mirror on a wall. “That me” didn’t have my face though, I thought that was me in the dream. The best dream ever is the dream that I was an action heroine like Angelina Jolie. I was at a parking lot of a shopping mall. There were some enemies and I was doing battle against them. While hiding behind a car, I shot a gun. I moved along trying to avoid bullets. I also dodged quickly and kicked them. I was very strong and tough. Finally, I jumped out the parking lot: from the 5th floor of parking building. Don’t worry. I could fly! That is why I jumped from a utility pole to trees, roofs and so on. I was so excited in the dream because it was breathtaking.
Now, let me tell you the worst dreams. One of them is that I was chased by a super huge skull. The skull was really big as covering all the sky. I dreamed it when I was a little child, so I remember I was really scared by it. I was running away in desperation but I felt my legs were heavy. I ran into an apartment and thought that I escaped the skull with great difficulty, however, the skull peeped into the room! And it started bloody raining. The other scary dream was a dream that monsters which eat human beings appeared at a school. I ran with my friends and family but other people were eaten. That was so bloody, cruelty and scary sight. One of the worst 3 dreams is that I got married to the terrible guy. He rather looked like a mouse than he is exactly a mouse. He was not only filthy but also evil and cold. I was badly shocked at that I had to get married to him. That was disgusting dream.

My strange habits
I have some strange habits. Now, I will tell you about that. Don’t let this get any further. lol
I am cleanly at times. As almost people don’t like dirty things, neither do I. However, sometimes I am more cleanly than they are.
I really care about my bed getting dirty. I go to a bathroom with only shorts after getting ready for bed. I mean I take off the pants of night clothes outside of the restroom. I don’t want the hem to touch on the floor because I think floors of restrooms are not clean. I don’t want to go to bed with dirty nightclothes. Of course I don’t do like that outside the house. These days, taking it off every time is kind of troublesome, so I change clothes one more time before going to bed. I mean, I usually change clothes at least 3 times a day: when I get up, when I finish bathing and when I go to bed. Some times I change clothes 4 times a day, like when I change into my best clothes.
I usually wear slippers after taking a bath but I don’t want to put it on after I put on shoes for outside even only once. I consider the slippers are not to get my feet dirty. They save my feet against dirty and dangerous things which are on floors such as dusts and pins. If I put off the slippers to go outside before going to bed, I wash my feet.
I want to keep my own bed being in cleanliness anyway, so I never go to bed without nightclothes. I definitely take a bath or shower before going to bed. I also care about that other people even my family lie on my bed.

I am cleanly at times. As almost people don’t like dirty things, neither do I. However, sometimes I am more cleanly than they are.
I really care about my bed getting dirty. I go to a bathroom with only shorts after getting ready for bed. I mean I take off the pants of night clothes outside of the restroom. I don’t want the hem to touch on the floor because I think floors of restrooms are not clean. I don’t want to go to bed with dirty nightclothes. Of course I don’t do like that outside the house. These days, taking it off every time is kind of troublesome, so I change clothes one more time before going to bed. I mean, I usually change clothes at least 3 times a day: when I get up, when I finish bathing and when I go to bed. Some times I change clothes 4 times a day, like when I change into my best clothes.
I usually wear slippers after taking a bath but I don’t want to put it on after I put on shoes for outside even only once. I consider the slippers are not to get my feet dirty. They save my feet against dirty and dangerous things which are on floors such as dusts and pins. If I put off the slippers to go outside before going to bed, I wash my feet.
I want to keep my own bed being in cleanliness anyway, so I never go to bed without nightclothes. I definitely take a bath or shower before going to bed. I also care about that other people even my family lie on my bed.

January - the latter half
On January 11, I had the last Honor English Seminar class. At the class, I experienced interpretation with using real equipments for interpreters. I tried Japanese-English simontaneous interpretation. I had already interpretated the video before the class though. I was a little nervous, but I could enjoy. Two professional interpreters also came and gave us how to study and what we should do for our futures. I thought I definitely experienced a wonderful thing. On 21, I went to a restaurant which served ordering buffet for Ayano, Pudding, Mira and Mon chan's birthday party. Their birthdays are all in January. The other members are Megumu, Eri, Yusen, Yuna, Chonchon san, Gen and Clark. We talked a lot. I really had a good time. I like being with them. They make me happy :) I watched Ikemen desune, a Korean sitcom, last Satuday. I really really like the sitcom. It is a love comedy. It is so much fun but sad sometimes. It is the best Asian sitcom ever, I think. If you like love stories, you should watch it! I studied for final exam in a whole day last Sunday.
In this spring holiday, I am going to Korea with Eri and Ayano! Plus, I will go to Hous Ten bos with Gen, Lexy and Eri. Some more people may join us. The trips will be in for a great time anyway. I am looking forward to them!

January - the first half
I stayed home during oshogatsu because I had a cold. I didn't have fever but I didn't feel like going anywhere. My nose was stopped. From January 5, school started. I went to school and took the class for studying abroad on the Friday night. On 8, I went to a beauty salon and had my hair dye and cut. After that, I went home and went down town soon. I went to a nail salon. It was my first time, so I was excited. I had my nails be pink-and-white French style. It was simple but cute! I liked it. It costs only 4800 yen. At other salons, it generally costs at least 6000 yen. January 10 was the coming-of-age day. I woke up at 4:00 am and left home 4:45. I had my hair set and put make-up on at a beauty salon. Then, I moved to Wedding Box, a wedding and dressing salon, and had putting on kimono. The kimono I wore was black color and Japanese traditional pattern.

I thought I knew the story of The Wizard of OZ, but this original story was a little different. I thought Dorothy went see the Wizard of OZ who made her dream with the dog, lion, scarecrow and Tin Woodman. It was not so simple. I was surprised at the twist ending but I could enjoy reading it. I thought this story and Momotaro were similar in a way that the lead character got together with some companies.
Some words and sentences were kind of difficult for me but it was easy to read without a dictionary. I would like to recommend reading this book if you have ever not read The Wizard of OZ.

Saint Mary's University is in Halifax, which is a small port town in the center of the east coast of Canada. There are two famous parks in Halifax. The names are Point Pleasant Park and Halifax Public Gardens. In Point Pleasant Park, people can jog, take a dog for a walk, and go on a picnic. In Halifax Public Gardens, people are not allowed doing them. There are no pets, no jogging, no bikes and no feeding the birds and waterfowl either. To do lawn activity, people can go to the family Lawn Area in Public Gardens. However, taking pictures in the gardens is allowed.
There are some Japanese food restaurants in Halifax. If Japanese students miss Japanese food, they should go and eat there. According to Farrel (2010, personal interview), Doraku is the best Japanese restaurant of all. For shopping, Halifax Shopping Centre is the best. It has Wal-Mart and we can buy anything we need, such as pillows and blankets.

Halifax is very cold in the winter season. The average highs of January and February are under 0 degrees centigrade. As many clothes as possible should be worn when going outside in winter. The fairy casted a spell on an apple she had and she transformed the apple into a carriage. Also, she changed two squirrels into carriage horses and changed one rabbit into a cabman.
"Oh, my! So lovely! What can I say? Thank you, Thank you so much."
No sooner had Narisa got into the carriage than she asked the cabman to let the horses run.
"Have fun!" The fairy said and disappeared.

America has the jury system. There are a lot of lawyers in America. There are a lot of kind of lawyers who specialize in their each line. It is necessary for both the plaintiffs and the defendants to choose which lawyers are good for them. The reason why the company which was accused of sexual harassment by Josey chose a female lawyer was in order to raise the jury and judge. The company didn’t want Josey to win the suit because they felt like she took away their job and authority, so they thought a female lawyer was a good point to let her defend them. They want to show off that they are kind to women. Fortunately, Josey had a good lawyer, so she could give the courage to stand up to her coworkers. Finally, how to convey someone’s feelings to the jury is the most important for a trial in America. Also, The citizen judge system started in Japan. The citizen judges should not make a decision based on emotion.

This winter holiday
I am going to talk about what I am going to do during this winter holiday. First, tomorrow I will go to have a lunch with my mother, brother and sisters. I have not seen my mother since lat month, so I am happy to see see her tomorrow. December 25th is my brother, Koyo's birthday, so we will cerebrate him in tomorrow night too. On 29, I am going to see my junior high friends at night. I think we will talk about seijinshiki. The next day, I have a year-end party with high school friends in downtown. More than 20 people will come. We didn't have changing class when we were in high school, so we still have a very good relationship even now. I want to see them soon! I am very looking forward to it. From 31st to 3rd, I will spend time with my family.

My favorite store
My favorite store is Village Vanguard which is also called exciting book store. There are not only interesting books but also character goods, imported goods and so on. It has a lot of interesting goods. Even not feel like buying anything, I could spend good time by just looking the goods at the store. As far as I know, Youme town Hamasen, PARUCO, Diamond City Value and Clare have Village Vanguard in Kumamoto. I am going to introduce an interesting good which is sold there. In this season, you can get an unlucky mystery bag. Not a lucky bag. It is an unlucky bag. There are some black comedy goods in the bag. I don’t know what the black comedy goods are. I am interested in it but I never buy it.

My favorite candy
I think my favorite candy is Ichigo Miruku. It tastes strawberry milk as you find out from the name. The shape is a small triangle and the color is soft pink. The inside of it is colored white and it tastes milk. I like strawberry milk and strawberry yogurt tasted candy, but I don’t like just strawberry tasted one. Also, I don’t feel like eating candies tasted cola, pop or something now. However, I used to like them before. When I was a school kid, I often bought some candies which looked like toys and tasted pop and cola. I remember I was happy when my mother bought the candies for my sisters and me. I used to eat them with sticky hands because of the candies.

About last weekend
Last Friday, I had Christmas party at English Lounge. Ayano, Yusuke san and I were the MCs, so we didn't join some games but the party was so great! I had a good time. On Saturday, I had a make-up class in that morning. After that, I went to Mr. Waterman's house for Christmas party with Megumu, Chonchon san, Clark and Jonah. I was surprised when we got to his house because the apartment was that I lived in when I was little. I felt natsukashii. We did a game, Tokyo Train. My partner was Mr. Waterman. We won once. Chonchon san and Clark were a good team. They won every time. Mrs. July's pizza was great. Yesterday, I went to Costoco in Fukuoka with Ayano, Jonah, Jordan, Pudding, Clark, Ian and Chonchon san. I drove. I felt kind of nervous at first.

My favorite class
My favorite class in KGU is history of American literature. The teacher is professor Mukai Kumiko. She tells us not only American literature but also some bits of knowledge such as about common knowledge of ancient America. We can watch some movies but not all parts of them at the class. We watched a lot of literature-related movies. One of them that I really liked is Adventure of Huckleberry Finn. Huck that Elijah Wood played was so lovely and pretty. Also, the story was great. That’s why I looked for the DVD and bought it by Amazon. Professor Mukai showed us it from beginning to ending for letting us write reports in the spring term. In this term, we wrote reports about The Great Gatsby. That was kind of difficult.

Ice skating & MK
I went ice skating with Eri, Megumu, Ayano, Chonchon san, Risa san, Natsumi san, Mira, Yusen, Yuna, Senshu and Jonah yesterday. We got together at the Seven eleven near Kenritsu gekijo around 11:00. We went to a skating rink ASPA in Kikuyo. We started skating around 12:00. I have ever skated before, but that was about 8 years ago, so at first, I couldn't slide at all. Even standing on the rink was so hard. However, before I changed the figure shoes to ice hockey shoes, I could slide. We made one long line and slide each other like a train. That was so funny. Some people first skated at that time but they finally could slide. I fell many times and bruised. Also, I had the skin on my ankles were peeled because of rubbing against the skating shoes. I had pain on my feet but I really enjoyed skating. After that, we went to MK, a shabushabu restaurant. I was starving, so I ate a lot!

Weekend
I watched Toy story 3 with my sisters and brother last Saturday night. We all have already seen it at the movie theater but I bought the DVD bcause I really like Toy story. I was moved and sheded tears at the last sean. I love Toy tory! Also, I cooked dinner on the day. I cooked beef don, pumpkin's nimono, moyashi itame and harusame soup. My family told me they were good, so I was glad to hear that. I read One piece and did my homework yesterday.

My favorite sport
My favorite sport is tennis. I am not good at any ball games but I like playing tennis. The reason why I like playing tennis is the sound of hitting a ball makes me feel great. I have never belonged to any clubs in my high school days but I chose a tennis class every elective subject at P.E. I also took a tennis class in both spring and autumn terms last year. I was not a good player but I enjoyed playing games. As I told you, my favorite sport is tennis but the other way, I mean as watching, I like soccer. I watched the World Cup in South Africa. I didn’t expect the Japanese team survived to the best 16. The games were awesome.
