The average highs of Janualy and February are under 0 centigrade. You shoud put on clothes as much as possible when you go outside in winter. Gloves and earmaffs are necessary. The Average depths of snow on ground are 8.6 cm. The other side, summer season in halifax is warm. The average highs of June and September are 19 centigrade. The ones of July and August are 23 centigrade. However, according to the exchange students from Saint Mary's University, a few years ago, the hottest day was 40 centigrade! Unbelievable! Halifax has over 100 days of mist or fog each year.
